Be Prompt
Always, always, always be on time. No excuses. It is a character issue. Everyone has the same twenty four hours. There is no more time. You cannot stop it, save it or hold it. It is here and it is gone. What will you do with the time you have? You have the same number of hours in a day as the world’s most accomplished person.
Be resilient
Bounce back. Get up. Everyone faces defeat or failure at some time. The measure is not that you fall down but that you get up and keep falling forward. The world is so crowded at the bottom. The view is terrible under the pile. You are made of strong stuff. The measure is not how often you were knocked down, but rather how often you get up. The crime is not failure; the crime is not staying in the game.

Be tenacious
Hold on. Don’t give up. Keep going. Records are broken by split seconds or inches. One more second, one more stroke, you can do it. You are in the game until the bell rings.

Be proactive.
Anticipate the need to act. Don’t wait for a better time. There isn’t one. Ask. Seek. Stay out front. Now is the time you have. Strike while the iron is hot. Tomorrow may be safer or you may be surer of your course of action, but it also may be too late. Time does not stop. Life has no timeouts nor action re-plays. There is no dress rehearsal for life. This is it – the only time around.
